Grass-Fed/Grass-Finished, Pasture-Raised Beef Tallow:
Beef tallow is the star of the show in all of our whipped balms. It has been used for centuries for skincare and is overflowing with health benefits which make it the perfect choice for clean skin care. Beef tallow has anti-inflammatory properties and contains vitamins A, D, E and K. Additionally it is full of the fats and lipids that are found in supple healthy human skin which makes it naturally compatible with our own skin. All of our tallow is sourced from grass-fed/grass-finished, pasture-raised cattle and is wet rendered multiple times to remove the impurities and odor. What is left is beautiful, odorless tallow along with all of the nutrients and wonderful benefits.
Organic Cold-Pressed Jojoba Oil:
Jojoba oil has also been used for centuries for skin care. It is deeply hydrating and conditioning and aids in sealing moisture into the skin. It is non-comedogenic so it won’t clog pores like some of the heavier oils and is a better alternative for those with acne prone skin or breakouts. Jojoba oil is rich in flavonoids and vitamin E which is a potent antioxidant that protects against oxidative damage to our skin. Our jojoba oil is organic, cold pressed, non-GMO certified, cruelty free, sustainably sourced and minimally processed.
Organic Raw Manuka Honey:
Manuka honey contains anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antioxidant properties. It can help sooth and relieve inflammation, lock in moisture to prevent/treat dry skin and has been used for wound healing since ancient times. It is helpful in treating conditions such as inflammation, eczema and dermatitis. Our manuka honey is sourced from New Zealand - it is organic, raw, non-GMO and unpasteurized.

This tallow is the best I've bought! The fragrances in the sample pack were all wonderful but my favorite was the rose. I bought the unscented so I can try to do one with honeysuckle. The person who I contacted was very encouraging!

And I mean everything! Your website gives me warm fuzzies, ordering was a breeze, the packaging of the shipment was delightful, the containers, descriptions and tags are beautifully crafted, and the tallows smell delicious, feel creamy and smooth, and amazingly moisturizing!! I’ve already recommended them to several friends and will continue to do so!!
I tend to have very dry hands and wanted to see if tallow would stand up better than my usual array of lotions. I was surprised and very pleased that it doesn't feel too heavy or greasy (my usual gripe with moisturizers) and works very effectively. A major stress-related eczema flare up healed in just a few days even with frequent handwashing. The scents are lovely and tallow has quickly become my favorite moisturizer.
After a month of sitting on the idea of purchasing a tallow skin care product, but feeling so-so on the products I was seeing offered, I received an email from Death in the Garden that revealed The Beekeeper's Granddaughter. I decided on the started pack to try all of the scents offered. So far I am rotating between two of the scents, and all six of them smell divine it will be difficult to decide on my favorite! My skin is loving the tallow. This will definitely be my go to skin care product.
