Charcoal Face Soap

Tallow:

Using 100% tallow for soap makes for an incredibly conditioning lather, but it is different from other soaps that utilize other oils. It cleanses and conditions at the same time! Fun fact: it is believed that soap was invented by someone accidentally dripping tallow over wood ashes from a fire!

 

Organic green tea: 

Green tea helps promote a healthy complexion by repairing sun damage, brightening skin, reducing the appearance of acne, oiliness, and inflammation. The caffeine in green tea also helps shrink blood vessels, which is effective in reducing the appearance of puffy eyes and dark circles. 
 

100% Pure Sodium Hydroxide (Lye):

Lye is a necessary ingredient for soap, and through a 6-week minimum saponification process (known as curing) there is no lye left in the soap. Other names for lye include caustic soda, or sodium hydroxide, or people will use terms like "sopified" to describe the process of saponification. The lye we use is 100% pure and food grade. 

 

Organic coconut charcoal:

 

Charcoal helps detoxify the skin by drawing out impurities and clearing pores. It also helps reduce acne and excess oil. It also enhances the exfoliating properties of the soap!

 

Regenerative organic Maui coffee:

Coffee is a wonderful exfoliator which helps remove dead skin, clear pores, promote circulation, and overall helps brighten skin tone. Its caffeine helps reduce puffiness, dark circles, and the appearance of cellulite.

 

Organic tea tree essential oil: 

Tea tree oil is effective at reducing acne, blemishes, and redness. It helps cleanse pores and promote clear, smooth skin texture.

Scent: fresh, medicinal, green-woody scent

How to use:

This soap is specifically made to be used on the face. Scrub gently on skin to buff out impurities and exfoliate. Leave soap on skin for a few moments before rinsing with water. Can be used on other parts of the body that may need exfoliating.

As this soap is handmade, variation in appearance is normal.
