Lavender Tallow Soap
Tallow:
Using 100% tallow for soap makes for an incredibly conditioning lather, but it is different from other soaps that utilize other oils. It cleanses and conditions at the same time! Fun fact: it is believed that soap was invented by someone accidentally dripping tallow over wood ashes from a fire!
100% Pure Sodium Hydroxide (Lye):
Lye is a necessary ingredient for soap, and through a 6-week minimum saponification process (known as curing) there is no lye left in the soap. Other names for lye include caustic soda, or sodium hydroxide, or people will use terms like "sopified" to describe the process of saponification. The lye we use is 100% pure and food grade.
Alkanet root:
Alkanet root is full of wonderful skin healing properties which aide in wound healing, reducing acne, and soothing burns. It also has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties, making it a perfect additive to soap.
Organic Lavender Essential Oil:Lavender essential oil is very soothing to the skin. It can help treat eczema, psoriasis and other inflammatory skin conditions and is a wonderful aid in healing acne. Its cleansing properties also assist in healing minor cuts and scrapes and soothes red and irritated skin. The aroma of lavender essential oil can help promote a calm, peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. This is a USDA Certified Organic essential oil.
Scent: Floral, herbaceous, soft, sweet
How to use:
Use like any regular soap. Lather, wash yourself, and rinse!
Note:
As this soap is handmade, variation in appearance is normal. Each soap is cut to be 3.7 oz, but it's possible for there to be slight variation in weight.
Possible skin sensitivity. Keep out of reach of small children. If you are pregnant, nursing, under a doctor’s care, or have any allergies to any of our ingredients, consult your physician. Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.
