Grass-Fed/Grass-Finished, Pasture-Raised Beef Tallow:

Beef tallow is the star of the show in all of our whipped balms.  It has been used for centuries for skincare and is overflowing with health benefits which makes it the perfect choice for clean skin care. Beef tallow has anti-inflammatory properties and contains vitamins A, D, E and K. Additionally it is full of the fats and lipids that are found in supple healthy human skin which makes it naturally compatible with our own skin.  All of our tallow is sourced from grass-fed/grass-finished, pasture-raised cattle and is wet rendered multiple times to remove the impurities and odor. What is left is beautiful, odorless tallow along with all of the nutrients and wonderful benefits.

 

Organic Cold-Pressed Jojoba Oil:

Jojoba oil has also been used for centuries for skin care. It is deeply hydrating and conditioning and aids in sealing moisture into the skin. It is non-comedogenic so it won’t clog pores like some of the heavier oils and is a better alternative for those with acne prone skin or breakouts. Jojoba oil is rich in flavonoids and vitamin E which is a potent antioxidant that protects against oxidative damage to our skin. Our jojoba oil is organic, cold pressed, non-GMO certified, cruelty free, sustainably sourced and minimally processed.

 

Organic Raw Manuka Honey:

Manuka honey contains anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antioxidant properties. It can help sooth and relieve inflammation, lock in moisture to prevent/treat dry skin and has been used for wound healing since ancient times. It is helpful in treating conditions such as inflammation, eczema and dermatitis. Our manuka honey is sourced from New Zealand - it is organic, raw, non-GMO and unpasteurized.

 

Organic Frankincense Serrata Essential Oil:

Frankincense Serrata essential oil is a rich source of antioxidants which have the ability to reduce chronic inflammation as well as boost collagen production. It also helps support the elastin and hyaluronic acid in your skin which in turn improves the elasticity and helps minimize wrinkles. Frankincense soothes skin blemishes, redness and irritations. It is helpful as well for soothing body aches and relieving aching joints and muscles. The sweet woody aroma of frankincense has a calming effect and can reduce feelings of stress and anxiety while at the same time improving concentration and memory. This is a USDA Certified Organic essential oil.

 

Scent: balsamic, green, woody and earthy

 

Organic Ylang Ylang Essential Oil:

Ylang Ylang has sebum-balancing effects which makes it a great essential oil for all skin types. It promotes healthy skin and helps prevent the signs of aging as well as inflammatory conditions. The scent has a calming, soothing effect and encourages relaxation. This is a USDA Certified Organic essential oil.

 

Scent: Floral, sweet, heady, a little spicy

 

How to use:

Begin with a small amount (a little goes a long way) and gently rub into your skin. You’ll know the right amount for your skin. If you end up feeling greasy long after you’ve applied the tallow then you probably put it on too thick. Enjoy the feel of your moisturized, nourished and rejuvenated skin. 

 

To help your tallow balm stay fresh longer, keep in a cool, dry place with lid tightly capped, away from direct sunlight.
