OUR INGREDIENTS:

Grass-Fed/Grass-Finished, Pasture-Raised Beef Tallow:

Beef tallow is the star of the show in all of our whipped balms.  It has been used for centuries for skincare and is overflowing with health benefits which makes it the perfect choice for clean skin care. Beef tallow is anti-inflammatory and contains vitamins A, D, E and K. It is full of the fats and lipids that are found in supple healthy human skin which makes it naturally compatible with our own skin.  All of our tallow is sourced from grass-fed/grass-finished, pasture-raised cattle and is wet rendered multiple times to remove the impurities and odor. What is left is beautiful, odorless tallow along with all of the nutrients and wonderful benefits.

 

Organic Cold-Pressed Jojoba Oil:

Jojoba oil has also been used for centuries for skin care. It is deeply hydrating and conditioning and aids in sealing moisture into the skin. It is non-comedogenic so it won’t clog pores like some of the heavier oils and is a better alternative for those with acne prone skin or breakouts. Jojoba oil is rich in flavonoids and vitamin E which is a potent antioxidant that protects against oxidative damage to our skin. Our jojoba oil is organic, cold pressed, non-GMO certified, cruelty free, sustainably sourced and minimally processed.

 

Organic Raw Manuka Honey:

Manuka honey contains anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antioxidant properties. It can help sooth and relieve inflammation, lock in moisture to prevent/treat dry skin and has been used for wound healing since ancient times. It is helpful in treating conditions such as inflammation, eczema, dermatitis. Our manuka honey is sourced from New Zealand - it is raw, organic, non-GMO and unpasteurized.

 

Organic Patchouli Essential Oil:

Patchouli has wonderful skincare qualities including reducing the appearance of scars, wrinkles and blemishes. It balances oily skin while at the same time nourishing dry, cracked skin. Patchouli has a deep scent which can soothe tension and worry and is boldly grounding. This is a USDA Certified Organic essential oil. 
 

*Patchouli essential oil is considered a photosensitive essential oil. Wear with caution if you will be exposed to ultraviolet light (sunlight or tanning beds) within 12 hours of application.  

 

Scent: Woody, earthy

 

Organic Lemongrass Essential Oil:

Lemongrass has antimicrobial and astringent properties. It is wonderful for fighting acne and other skin ailments. Its anti-inflammatory properties work well for reducing pain when used topically and it is helpful in alleviating muscle aches as well as boosting circulation. Lemongrass has an invigorating scent that gives you an emotional boost and helps to create an uplifting atmosphere. And as an added bonus, lemongrass is also wonderful for keeping pesky bugs at bay when you’re outdoors. This is a USDA Certified Organic essential oil.

 

Scent: lemony, fresh, bright

 

Organic Vetiver Essential Oil:

Vetiver contains anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. It helps to calm red, inflamed skin and blemishes. The earthy scent is incredibly relaxing, soothing and calming and can help one feel grounded as well as support mental wellness. Vetiver can help alleviate stress and can assist you in falling asleep at night. This is a USDA Certified Organic essential oil.

 

Scent: Rich, earthy, woody, grounding notes

 

 

How to use:

Begin with a small amount (a little goes a long way) and gently rub into your skin. You’ll know the right amount for your skin. If you end up feeling greasy long after you’ve applied the tallow then you probably put it on too thick. Enjoy the feel of your moisturized, nourished and rejuvenated skin. 

 

To help your tallow balm stay fresh longer, keep in a cool, dry place with lid tightly capped, away from direct sunlight.
